Alfred’s Essentials of Music Theory Ear Training

For students who express interest in the geekier aspects of music theory, composition, and analysis, I generally recommend Alfred’s Essentials of Music Theory.  The program is available in three volumes, but I recommend purchasing the “Complete” edition, which includes all of the material from Books 1, 2, and 3 in a single spiral-bound volume, plus audio files for ear training on two CD’s.  I include the audio files below to facilitate ear training sessions in settings where bringing a CD player might be cumbersome.
