On the second Saturday of each month, I offer an Audition Workshop in “master class” format for students and performers (of all ages) interested in honing their musical theatre and dramatic audition skills for theatre productions and academic programs. The class runs from 10 AM to noon in the upstairs common room of The Perfect 5th, with each student performer getting up to 30 minutes of dedicated time (depending on course enrollment) to present a mock audition and “workshop it” with feedback from me and the other students in the room.
Students are strongly encouraged to pre-register for each session as early as possible, but at least 24 hours in advance. A minimum of 4 students must pre-register for each session to “go,” so recruit a friend or two and sign up together! Tuition of $40 per student per session is due before class begins and may be paid online or in person.
Maximum enrollment for each session is 12 performers, but friends, family members, etc. are welcome to attend as observers free of charge (space permitting).
Enrolled students should ideally arrive at each session as if it were an audition: material selected and prepared (i.e., memorized), sheet music for accompanist, dressed as for an audition. (Students new to the process may find this page helpful as they prepare for the workshop, but should feel free to come “as they are.” We’ll work together on preparing the whole audition package!)
To register for an Audition Workshop, click “Sign up” under one of the dates listed below, then complete and submit the form that appears. You’ll receive an e-mailed invoice for the tuition due, usually within 24 hours; you may pay online by credit card or arrive early to your session and pay in person. (Note: students currently studying at P5 receive a reduced tuition of $30 per session; that discount will be reflected on the invoice you receive after registering.) I’m looking forward to working with you!
